About Us

Quantum Technology is an interdisciplinary domain at the intersection of physics and engineering that leverages the foundational principles of quantum mechanics – such as superposition, entanglement – to develop quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum cryptography, quantum simulation, quantum metrology, and quantum imaging. The Quantum Technology program is designed to address the growing national and global demand for skilled professionals in this transformative field. The program aims to develop competent graduates with strong theoretical knowledge and practical expertise to contribute to cutting-edge research and innovation in quantum technologies. The program aspires to position itself as a leading academic and research hub in quantum science and technology, aligned with the national vision for technological self-reliance and global leadership.

To be a center of excellence in Quantum Technology education and research, fostering innovation, advanced expertise, and workforce readiness in quantum computing, communication, sensing, and metrology to address emerging national and global technological challenges.

Mission

To develop highly skilled professionals and researchers in the field of quantum technologies by imparting strong foundations in quantum mechanics, optics, computing, and information theory; enabling the design and implementation of advanced experimental and simulation-based quantum systems; fostering innovation in quantum communication, sensing, metrology, and cryptographic applications; and promoting the effective use of FPGA and embedded platforms for real-time quantum control, signal processing, and data analysis.
